This is just awful news.
The thing I keep remembering is a very moving interview with her father on BBC radio a few years ago, where he was saying that he could no longer reach her. She was lost to drugs. A terribly sad thing for a father to say.
Was she pushed back on-stage too soon? Who knows... maybe she agreed to it.

Shame. If this had been the 1960's she might also have died at 27 but she'd have had eight albums out. Too bad artists can get away with being so unprolific these days. A waste of a talent and a fine voice.

What strikes me as strange is that I never heard of her taking stuff that would kill you, like heroin. If it wasn't an outright suicide I would guess a lethal combo of tranqs and alcohol.
