Keys and Stealin' are also great, especially the production 2002 was much better than 3 years later IMHO.

Yes indeed. The production on the 2002 Licks tracks is better than that on ABB. It's all to do with the engineers and the equipment they used. If you look at the credits of both, you will realize they have been recorded by different guys despite both being produced by Don Was. But Was is a musician-producer, not an engineer-producer, so he basically relies on the expertise of his engineer for the sound. Krish Sharma's sound aesthetic is designed for earbuds and tiny computer speakers which makes it mildly annoying on bigger sound systems to say the least.

There are actually 2 "best" parts of "Don't Stop" - right before the song starts and just after it ends.

this song brings back good memories of the fall of '02. I thought I would never get a chance to see the stones in concert and a new tour was on the way and I had tickets. it was an exciting time. The song continued to grow on me when when four Flicks came out, that live version from MSG.

Pedestrian at best. Generic Stones - the Stones imitating themselves. It's too down the middle. However, seeing that it was the only single to promote the album and, I guess, the tour - it'll have to do. It's not horrible but it certainly isn't great. If it was on A Bigger Bang it would just be filler at best, although certainly higher in the ranks above Streets Of Love and ONNYA and a few others later on in the album.

Loved it, and still do.
For me, its not a filler, but also not one of the greats

Already 3 sites about this sad affair ?!
Go to the great stuff of the 60/70's and than listen to Don't stop.
If you still don't get it, ok.
