Comparison of (old) vinyl boots to their CD counterparts

As someone who values sound quality, analogue tape generation and its subsequent conversion to digital, I am soliciting opinions from IORR vinyl boot collectors who have compared their vinyl boots to their CD boots. Which sounded better and why? What do you think accounts for the the difference? Did you think the vinyl was mastered from a superb source, and then the "media carrier" was at fault? Did you think the boot CD used the lowest tape generation possible? Finally, may I ask that, when comparing vinyl-to-CD boots, would you kindly please annotate both sources fully, especially the vinyl boots matrix#. The ultimate goal of this exercise is to establish a template from which to create the best listening experience.

Years ago I sold 'Nasty Music' (SODD 012), the best-sounding Vinyl bootleg ever. I am not aware if the Sound Quality of any CD comes close.
