'fantastic gem' is a little bit of an overstatement. I minor classic, perhaps. I've always thought it was modeled after the Jagger-Lennon tune, "Too Many Cooks."

I tried to send it to you, but the file is too big -I'm trying to make it smaller and send it later, ok?

B-side of "Shattered." It was included on "Sucking in the '70s" and the "Flashpoint collectibles." All nominally rare but can found on eBay.

There's no bloody weaving -Stop that nonsense.Immediately.

It's a choppy rhythm guitar and and a jaunty, jaggedy lead.

Wonderful really.

Yea Eddy, I agree. Great tune but enough of that ancient weaving stuff. Keith never talked about that until just a few years ago.

Fantastic song. Great arrangement. Sugar Blue and Bobby Keys just rock in it!

I've always loved this song, great lyrics, great beats. I also like Dance pt 2 a great deal as well.

I love the whole Some Girls/Emotional/Tatoo period (78-82). That was when I first got into the Stones as a teenanger. And Mick and the boys seemed like Gods

I need a sanctified girl with a sanctified mind to help me now

Gazza, aside from playing on the 1975, 1978, 1981 and 1982 tours, Keys plays sax on Emotional Rescue: All About You, She's So Cold, Emotional Rescue, Let Me Go.

Yes but it sounds like Mel C on sax. And it reminds me of Ornette Coleman's Dancing In Your Head. First official Jagger/Richards/Wood credit (as opposed to 'inspiration by') too - the track smokes...

Mel C on sax. Well well, spice up your life.

I recall Ernie Watts played sax (alone) in Connecticut '81, & is also on Still Life. There were no horns at all in '75 (my 1st RS gigs), & Gene Barge did sax the '82 tour (or most of it). Bobby also was on the '79 New Barbs tour.

Bobby appears on the 75' LA Forum DVD playing his solo on Brown Sugar. I believe he did some guest appearances (sp?) on the 75 and 81 tours. Don't know about the 78 Tour, though.

Thanks everybody for giving me these information on who is the sax player in this song; it's a very good saxophone part, that according to me fits perfectly to the mood of the song.

Just for your information Bobby Keys (& Chuck Leavell) played the saxophone on the Europe leg of the tour 1982 !

In 1978, Bobby Keys played sax in Anaheim and Oakland.
In 1981, he showed up at a few shows, Hampton, LA, Houston, East Rutherford etc.

Keys typically played on LIB and BS during the '81 & '82 shows he attended, while Watts (81) and Barge (82) played on the other tunes.

Good solid song IMO, its got a cool feel to it, Should've been on Some Girls.
I have often wondered if the song is about golden showers though. Am I being naive ? or is the topic veru obvious ?

Milo, NYC
