Doesn't matter. Brilliant, innit? That Aerosmith could do so much with so few LPs? Amazing. And a kick ass band.

Off course it matters..it would be nice to break into the top ten (10). We as Stones fans get very little respect. Even many so called Stones fans prefer other bands. Winning does matter.

Stones fans get very little respect? What kind of 3rd grade crap is that!!?? HAHAHAHAHA! Other "so called Stones fans prefer other bands"? Dude, you need a Kleenex to wipe up your little fanboy sensitive crocodile tears. Oh how could one confuse 'prefer' with 'like'? Oh wait... nevermind.

You work so hard to be so... mildly devisive... but, again...

It is not divisive to post on a Stones board that I think the Stones are the greatest band and do not care for other acts. It is an opinion which obviously many disagree with, but I nonetheless have always maintained.

i think most people here listen to more than just the stones and gaslight is right. great aerosmith can sell as many albums as the stones in the states with about 1/2 as many albums

agreed after the Stones i like to watch Aerosmith, the best Stones imitation you can get. Steve Tyler an incredible force of nature. I wish Mick Jagger would copy Tylers wardrobe more, instead of the same black shirt and trousers every night. Not very rock and roll, but at least it beats the 81' 82' american football kit complete with knee pads lol..

Their certifications are outdated, Exile is still Platinum (it should be 4x Platinum at least), Hot Rocks is 12x Platinum (it should be 14-15x Platinum), 40 Licks is 4x Platinum (it should be 6x Platinum) among many others.
Around 15 million copies are missing from the Stones total, they should be at 80 millions at least.

I think you're saying 'it's great that' aerosmith can sell as much as the stones. To me, they are a rank imitation of the stones. That the stones don't outsell them by ten times says it all about the tastes of the public, as fas as I am concerned.
