I would cancel the south america tour, would do the preperations for the Album recording and then I would buy a house in France to record it there.

if i were Mick i would hang on to keith before he gets involved with his solo album and tour. which is what Mick appears to be doing now.
if i were keith and Mick does not want to go into the studio with me to make a new album. then i would say the stones have done all they can. what's the point in playing the same songs over and over again at their age.
they have done it and bought the T shirt.
Keith might as well create music and sing it to people. its far more creative than touring with the stones in the way they are now..

i would do basically nothing, excepts few months a year. i would play one complete album for 5-6 times in london, another album for 5-6 times in ny, etc etc.....trying to cover the Whole discography...and sell offcial bootlegs and dvd for every event. with guests

Record an "EP" (i.e. a 4-5 song digital release) produced by Rick Rubin, then a few months later recording an "EP" (i.e. a 4-5 song digital release) with Steve Albini.
If Mick and Keef have 5 more song demos in the purse why not try with a 3rd producer? Joe Barresi?

Another idea : do a 10-weeks recording session, each one of them in collaboration with a hot genuine new artist. There must be 10 young artists who'd like to write a few tunes with the Stones, right?

Try something new for Christ's sake!

Continue touring to afford to get the vaults cranked up for a box set or two or few since it's all about the past prestige of what's leftover and it won't make any money. They should enjoy paying for dedicated fans to hear what's left.

Give some shows in the UK and the rest of Europe.

Take up residency somewhere in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Play small tours once in a while like they have been. They are semi retired. The one concert that they haven't done which I would most want to do is play a free concert in Central Park.

Most people are forced into retirement. Mick and Keith have the luxury of deciding whether they want to continue - they don't have to worry about being called into the boss' office and given a good watch for years of service. If I were them, and I still enjoyed what I do, I would continue.

Their "careers" are pretty well set in stone, nothing left to prove really.

If they are enjoying playing as much as it appears I would think a bunch of smaller venue shows would be fun for them. Less pressure to please 40,000 fans who need to hear BS and JJF. Stretching a bit musically and artistically might allow them to find some inspiration to spark a new album.

Basically anything that would be artistically challenging for them and produce some compelling new music for us would be sweet. They don't have to continue to prove that they can put on a superb greatest hits rock show and sell tons of tickets. Less business, more art. dcba's suggestion of multiple producers and interesting collaborations is a good one.

Whatever they feel like. As much as I and a zillion others love this band we must accept that the end of the road/stage is probably a year to 2 yrs max away. The guys as far as recording and concerts go have give us damn near all they can give. Enjoy the rest of your life gentleman you've more than earned it. Stay in touch and clean the vaults out for us.

keep doing tours and when time allows in between shows count the money !!!!!!!!!

I would bet there is nothing in the whole world that Mick Jagger would rather do than be in control out in front singing, entertaining, talking to and call and replying 50,000+++ ecstatic Stones fans. He seems to enjoy it so much and he is so good at it.

Make a re-make of the Wizard of Oz and obscure 30's - 40's and 50's black and white movies...That ought to keep them busy since they are not in the studio....
And once they get bored with that they can open up homeleass shelters thru-out the world....

Immediately stop playing those inferior shows and work on the great live legacy from the Taylor years (and at least one live release from the Jones era (1967) too), in order to make that majestic music available for everyone. And mix it better than before, avoiding such mishits as the audio of Ladies & Gentlemen.

This above by now is verging on trolling. Obviously Mick and Keith so not have to work on the vault releases. They can be sold without stopping touring. Seriously Kleermaker, if you actually were Mick or Keith you would not perform Stones shows? We know you would prefer for them not to.
