Beautiful voice. Hope she pulls through, whatever it is.

Would be sad if this is serious. Although I thought her health had been waning recently? Maybe I never read that... I get hopeful when they say she was conscious and alert but nervous when they say its still pretty serious.

Thank for the news tatters, dire as it is. This is gonna be a tough call to my sister but we can at least contribute to the prayers for her recovery. Not that I need another reminder to be extremely grateful for the Stones health, but I am.

peace

Joni has had a very hard road, health-wise - polio, scarlet fever, and the impossibly terrifying Morgellon's disease, which isn't even given credibility. How can anyone dismiss a disease where red and blue fibres grow out of your skin? I do wish her all the best.

I used to really love her music passionately, but with all of the information and interviews on the net, I don't like her much at all. She seems to have zero appreciation for her fans or what celebrity has given her. Not all of her post-pop/folk material is much good, but her ego doesn't let her see that.

But I appreciate her early music, and what her music meant to me.

Could someone explain to me why people feel the need to post things like Best Wishes to You or similar things whenever a famous person gets sick or even dies?

I always find it silly and strange..

Stan---- didn't you play basketball in the NBA and your brother is Mike Love of the Beach Boys and your son is currently playing in the NBA with Lebon and the Cavaliers?

Because human thought is the most powerful force on the planet and loving, compassionate thoughts do make a difference. Collectively they make a big difference.

Naw, it's still collective human thought and effort that created that missile and there's probably some star wars defense that was similarly created to nullify it. But there are some natural forces that are pretty hard to compete with, volcanos, earthquakes, hurricanes and such. smoking smiley
