I tend to fall asleep when trying to listen the the Floyd.

LOVE ME SOME FLOYD! One of the greatest of all time. I suppose you either love them or hate them.

I like the Barrett-era singles and Piper. And then DSOTM and WYWW and Animals. But I find that post-Barrett pre-DSOTM era when they kind of drifting between 15 minutes "experiments" and actual songs pretty boring.

One of the greatest bands. Brilliant albums. Saw Waters' The Wall a month ago and it was great. The early stuff is also marvelous...

Probably my favourite band after The Stones and The Who.
No one have mentioned "Meddle" so far - a fantastic album IMO.
"Echoes" must be one of the greatest tracks ever recorded.

I don't fall asleep when listening /I listen to Pink Floyd .
Remember ,the Floyd is my fave after the Stones & Led Zep ....

I wish Keith could play that one as good as Mr Gilmour plays it.

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

They do tend to put me to sleep but one of the best live shows you'll ever see!

Pink Floyd is probably the best band of all time and the Stones being the best Rock and roll band, saw them in 94 and also the wall 2 weeks ago at the O2. What a brilliant show. the 94 show just blew me away. I think the guitar solo on Comfortably numb is the best guitar solo of all time.

Funny you should mention Obscured By Clouds, Havo. Was listening to that one in the car today, real loud. Love Gilmour's guitar sound on that one.

and it`s my favorite nap-music ( i hope the right word), just great to fall aslep, i don`t mean that in bad way,just great to dream away,

but the rest of the day,..............

-Agreed. But some say the 88 show was better? Did the "Momentary Lapse" stuff function better live, with the flying pig and all?

Love them best right before Dark Side. Ummagumma, Meddle, Live in Pompeii and Obscured by Clouds are amazing. Probably my favorite band of all time and Dave is my favorite guitar player.
