I know what you mean though. In a perfect world of Stones tours and new music/product there wouldn't be enough time for this type of tittle tattle.

headline is false because aerosmith has started worked numerous times from 2004-2010. there is a list of songs that have been completed/demo'd by the band prior to this year that were considered for the new album.

There was a great interview with Steven Tyler in a recent Rolling Stone mag. Incredible that he and Joe did drugs together again ... but it seems they got their act together once again. Or let's just hope that they do.

i was under the assumption that Mick read the book before it was published and he gave it the green light. therefore, why would Mick be mad and in a position to forgive Keith? unless Mick consciously created a schism between the two of them by giving carte blanche to Keith to talk shit about him.

It's new songs for their first new LP in ten years (has anyone really noticed?) regardless of when they started working on it - and regardless of whether they even bother with those supposed new recorded songs from 2004 and so on. For all anyone knows, they're starting from scratch the way it's worded. All it means is a new album. If you want to go by how you're saying it, a big portion of the Stones' albums have not been technically "new" since they use so many leftovers. Alas, it's still a NEW LP of new songs.

Joe Perry is a twit, and to be that over-the- top about Steven doing IDOL is ridiculous;he is the reason TYler signed on for the TV show! Perry and the rest of the band basicly told Tyler they were thinking of hiring a NEW lead singer!! IT IS TYLER'S FRIGGIN BAND! He wanted to do SOMETHING, clear his head and try to open up the lines of communication with Perry again. I read TYLER'S new bio and I loved it but Perry does not come off as a really nice guy. Quite the opposite. I hope they do work on and release a new cd, I love the band. Yes, another PUMP or PERMANENT VACATION or even a cd as good as 9 LIVES would be great.
