Haven't actually heard La Forum. But on my way to the vault. Is it better than LYL?

LA Forum,I think.
LYL kind of butchered (Fingerprint File)...although side 3 is great.

You've been listening too much to the Toronto show
But I agree, nothing beats the original unedited version of FF

I prefer the 1975 tour and so the show of LA.
from the other hand LYL has got a very good sound.

Dandy, only three songs are from '75: IORR, FF and SFTD. I think the lack of more official releases or decent boots is the band wasn't into recording all the shows? I think the Colorado show(7/20) could have been another winner.

Without any doubt LA 75, both officially available shows. LYL is a poor copy of what really happened on stage 75/76, in many ways "reworked", I would say in German: "verschlimmbessert" (artificial phrase for making worse by intending to improve). The Mocambo side - how great the performance is - isn't at the right place. Mocambo was and is worthy of a separate complete release - but that is another question ...

I agree about the importance of having a whole show from this tour.
But Hot Stuff, SFTD, IORR, YGM, HTW and FF are far from poor. Also, the reworking/overdubbing are exaggerated. Most of the overdubs are Mick's and Keith's vocals, shortening of songs and editing. Ronnie added some guitar on El Mocambo side, and Mick added harp.

For 1975 it is Toronto for me.

LA Friday by far. Best performance of the 1975 tour, best sounds. Sleazy decadence in its best form.

No sax solo on LYL, either.

Of course, I mean that Ronnie's solo is a stand alone act and lasts essentially longer than on LYL.

LYL has the El Mocambo side, which is great. Though I am also guessing the album is full of overdubs...so who knows what is 'live'.
For me, I cannot get over how far the band slide from 1973 to 1975. Did they WANT to be sloppier? Mick's vocals rougher?
