This edition has 20 different covers (yes, 20!) and Keith's is just one of them. (Other covers included Muhammed Ali and others.) Even though it's the UK edition I just bought mine at a USA B&N. The actual cover has Keith's head peeking through a die-cut hole (his actual face on page one) and you open the text-covered cover to see the entire image above on p. 1. (The vinyl SOME GIRLS has a die-cut cover, for those who might not know what die-cut is.)

I find it amusing how on here and other artists' message boards I've seen, how the admired artists will having something new out RIGHT NOW and it will be barely commented on. KEITH'S ON THE COVER OF THE APRIL ESQUIRE, OF HIS OWN DESIGN! Yawn. But some thread like "Which do you like better: Brian's red velvet trousers or his blue velvet trousers?" will have 253 comments.

What is there to comment on? He's a busy boy with book writing, book tours and doing magazine covers.

How 'bout writing and recording some freaking music?! Mick's in the studio, what the hell is Keith's problem?
Play piano if you can't play guitar any more!

Wow, that is the coolest pic of Keith I have seen in years. I am going to blow it up and put it on my Wall Of Fame in my spare bedroom!

can anyone who's got ahold of the magazine tell us who took the photo, please and thank you kindly?

haven't got the magazine yet but it looks like this picture is from Richard Dumas taken at Hotel Meurice in Paris beginning of November 2010 for LIFE promotion. We had an interview in the newspaper called LIBERATION with pictures from the same session.
