The things a guy has to do for Daddy Paul McCartney.

Ronnie has always wanted to know the right people...If he meets a star once, they're pals...If he sees them twice they become "one of my best friends."

A fine guitar player but a rather shallow person.

I'm sorry to say that I agree.
If he plays as a guest with James,he certainly isn't doing it because it is a talent he admires.
Maybe as a favour to his pal Paul it has it's merits, but on the other hand,is it because they are both in the same celebrity club?
You help me out,I will do my best for you. eye rolling smiley

This James McCartnely production is by Sally Humphreys: see last line below:

James McCartney
Live at The Ambassadors.
Wednesday March 27th, 8pm. Running time aprox 70 mins. Tickets £20 (premium £30)

Following a year that introduced him to international success in 2012, James McCartney now heads towards an exciting and unprecedented 2013––a year that will see him release his first full-length album and embark on a forty-seven date, twenty-seven state tour of the USA, to be followed by a number of additional shows and appearances across Europe. He will also perform an exciting preview of the tour at the Ambassadors Theatre, London on March 27th 8pm.

Accompanying himself on guitar, McCartney's soaring vocals, songwriting, and musicianship will take center stage in this distinctive and powerful setting.McCartney is fresh off the release of his two digital-only EPs, Available Light and Close At Hand, as well as his first physical release, The Complete EP Collection, a special two-disc package that includes the debut EPs in their entirety along with five bonus tracks.

Now, James McCartney is set to release his first full-length album, Me, May 21st on ECR Music Group. "For my first album I wanted to make a record that would be intimate, deeply personal, and honest," says McCartney. "An album that would say, 'This is who I am...both musically and personally. This is me.'"

Live at the Ambassadors will be produced by Sally Humphreys Productions Ltd.

Sally's theatre production company is based at the Ambassadors. She presented the Boogie For Stu shows there in 2011.

Yeah, JMcC was a pointless train wreck at that. RW as on form as he is ain't enough of an inducement to endure JMcC a second time around.

Ronnie is not a solo performer. He needs good musicians/artists /performers to back him up and feel good with.
He always picks the gigs well and I do hope that love eye popping smiley doesn't change his good judgement with the acts he chooses.
I hope Sally can come up with the goods if Ronnie is around.
I know he will have The Rolling Stones stuff to do,but maybe fit these gigs in,as and when he feels like it.
A couple of Faces gigs before the tour would be great, just to get Ronnie in 'live act mode'.

Fine by me, and if McCartney Jr is any good, it'll be a bonus. Lets keep an open mind folks, although that's saying something after his rather lacklustre guest spot at Sir Ron's Bluesfest thing at the Hammersmith Apollo last year. We'll see .........

Well, London is quite accessible if you want to spend 5 billion times more than necessary on a BRITISH AIRWAYS flight to get here, plus there's the added bonus of missing the gig because they won't get you here for it anyway, and finally - you'll have the pleasure of experiencing the worst in customer service that you'll find anywhere on the face of the planet !!

How can you miss an opportunity like that ? winking smiley Go for it ........... !!

Ron answered my question on twitter. Friends,Go to the ambassador's theatre and enjoy the atmosphere with McCartney and Ron. It's a Sally Humphreys production and that's every time the top. The stones are great but RONNY at the Ambassador's is very special.
Enjoy it.

Hum...interesting, not sure James Macca will ever feel comfortable on stage though, I remember these clips of his first show in the US at the end of 2010 I think and it was pretty scary.

Too bad it's not on a Wednesday night, might have hopped onto a train if not!

Maybe Paul will put in an appearance as well, seeing as he and Ronnie have been spending time together recently.

OMG Son of The Beatles. Does the world really need a McCartney without talent when it already has one with so much talent?

I didn't even know there WAS a James McCartney until he turned up at Ronnie's Bluesfest thing in Hamnersmith last year, so I really can't comment on how much talent the man has or hasn't. I've no idea what to expect, and i'm certainly not prepared to condemn someone of whom I know nothing and have seen precious little, other than a one song appearance at Ronnie's thing last year - when he had loads of other musicians on stage backing him. But one surefire way to find out is to go along to this gig on the 27th and take a look at the man, and for all of £20 plus what sounds like a guaranteed appearance from Sir Ron the Great .... why the hell not ?
