Got a phone call from my box-office to bring back my frontrow FACES-ticket (Berlin 19.7.11). They said the other dates are cancelled ,too. Any further informations?

There was a lot of talk about poor ticket sales and prices too high.Maybe that's the reason.

Yes, as far as I know just the German shows are cancelled.

Well, when I ordered my ticket for Berlin most of the expensive seats were already sold.

Yeah, but just the first 10 rows sold pretty good. The rest was very poor.

Shows that the market for a Stewart-less Faces reunion is relatively small.

Yeah, a Rodless Faces just doesn't grab the attention of the masses. Doesn't surprise me at all. Ronnie should just tour solo.

got an e-mail from eventim.....stuttgart is cancelled. that's very sad but i wrote here a few weeks ago that the tickets sell very bad..

I wouldn't call the band the Faces anymmore than Keith and Steven Tyler could call themselves the Rolling Stones.

Woulda still been a fun show though.

No offense to anyone, but why Germany? Were the Germans clamoring for a Faces reunion? Only to have now turned out to have been lying about it all along? If they really want to get this show on the road they've got to tour the UK and the United States.

They should have booked small venues first, then get good reviews
and then go to arenas.

I don't know how the original band did in Germany, but they were not actually ever huge in America. Rod was huge (sometimes deservedly so, often not). I could not see the band drawing more than 1200 people here for a show without Rod.

I think they could do 2500 in "selected cities" if it was promoted properly. They've got to use the "featuring members of the Rolling Stones, the Who, and the Sex Pistols" angle. See, when the Faces were a band, no one knew they were a supergroup in reverse. If they had done a reunion tour in the 80s, it would have been a fairly big deal.

this is what i been saying.. in the US other than maybe NYC i don't see the drawing more than club show level....


the only way to do this for the band is as a labor of love and doing some festivals...

only other option for US getting a good double bill such as j geils band for 10 shows at 4000 seaters.. thats the maximum

they cancelled before anyone had the opportunity to rip the set list.

i will return my ticket and go and see RINGO STARR in Frankfurt on the same day.

They should just tour as Ronnie Wood and friends.

Nothing against the new vocalist, it's just difficult to replace such a unique voice no matter how good you are.

They could stretch the setlist some that way, some solo Ronnie, maybe a couple Stones songs, and of course the obligatory single Simply Red tune.

That could work, but would they be willing to suffer the indignity of being the opening act? They WOULD have to be the opening act for anyone they would be paired with who would be a big enough attraction to play large venues.
