Well it's nice that he's selling a tshirt and donating the money to Japan relief. But how about just writing a large check instead?

How can you know that he doesn't ?

Okay then.... the majority of Stones fans are over fifty and male. A "fitted" t-shirt is not a good look on most of us.

majority of Stones fans are over fifty, but majority of Stones' t-shirts fans are 15.

Unfortunately most of those people dont even know who Keith Richards is, so we're back to where we started.

Probably in China with child labor.

Judging from the levels of radiation stemming out of the Jap plants the Stones will NOT play there in 2012/2013...

What's on the T-Shirt btw? Oh I see now : "so long you bastards! - Keith"

How about both?

If he said he'd made a donation, for everyone who praised him for doing so, there'd be someone else who would criticise him for self-promotion. Whether he's made any financial contribution himself is for his own conscience.

I think it's a nice gesture.

It's also a very nice t-shirt.

Nice gesture but ugly T-shirt......but it's for a very nice cause. But why limited? Now only a few people can buy it winking smiley

very nice gesture and a great shirt! plus which i'm really glad to finally know who took that photo
the only trouble is i can't afford the postage charge ... so i made a donation to the Japan Society in Keith's name instead

i'll go shirtless ... but i'd look way cute in a fitted one, thank you very much!
the image would look a bit distorted but i would look fine :E

the term limited is used to give the public a sense of urgency so folks are moved to buy it quicker. Marketing 101.

Great idea though. Gets folks to donate.

I think this is Keith's answer to Mick when he was on Larry King via Skype for Haiti.

I too am cynical, exactly what is 100% of the profits? I'm sure it's not the full sale price.

I honestly dont think it's of any importance. If it means some people's lives are improved, surely the end result is pretty much all that counts.

It would be nice though, if he 'matched' the t-shirt sales dollar for dollar with a donation.

I mean, it's not as though he's going to generate a million dollars in revenue (not that he couldn't afford that), and I think that anything less than that appears as self-promotion, whether it is or isn't.

Be glad I'am not Mick *sshole.

LoFL! why - would Mick surge through the internet cables and lunge out of ThankGod's computer and punch him/her in the nose?
(sorry - i'm sure Mick T is doing what he can to help Japan just like we all are, but what A'damned wrote is just too comical :E)

now everybody just simmer down and mind our own donations
