The greatest living guitarist. Saw him as a 12 year old opening for BB King many years ago. I have tix for him in Toronto. You will leave the show speechless. This man has a gift!

Watched the "Live at Royal Albert Hall" special, good show!

Not crazy about his vocals though. Excellent guitar player.

We're big fans of him ever since he opened for Steve Winwood two years ago at a German "tent festival" ...

My wife instantly fell in love with his playing - she said: he's a virtuoso!

One of the good things about him: He's not too famous so he often plays in Europe venues with less than 2000 people - standing. So even for us older people (We are both over 65!) there is a very good chance to get up near the stage, so you can see him from five meters "treating" his guitar ...

One very funny thing happened last year (or was it 2009 ?) in Mannheim, Germany. He announced that it was his 20th year playing now - and I shouted something, so he turned in my direction and said: I'm not that old yet ...

He was about 32 at that time ...

He's touring the whole world - so wherever you live, there's a good chance to go to one of his concerts - you really should go!

I really live his covers of Rory Gallagher's "Cradle Rock" and "A New Day Yesterday" by Jethro Tull.

thumbs up
"Dirt in my Pocket" played at full crank is a powerhouse blast.

'The Ballad of John Henry'was my album of 2009. Some loose Stones connection on it with Blondie Chaplin, Anton Fig and Carmine Rojas guesting.

Great guitarist, very friendly and focused. Had chats with him before and he's one of the most focused and "hands on" in his career then I've seen in a long time. Last time I saw him he was on his own website checking out the photos, etc that fans posted.

Funnily enough I got 3 CDs out of the library (2 solo) and I'm playing my way through them. Very impressed so far - in fact I've just ordered his new album.

Pick up Live From Nowhere in Particular and Ballad Of John Henry. You'll love them both. Listen to the lead in "Happier Times" from Ballad Of John Henry. It will almost bring you to tears it's that emotional.

I've got John Henry and it is excellent. To show my age – he reminds of early Robin Trower.

I saw him on March 3rd.

Blew me away!

But like Jeff Beck, other than the incredible guitar skill, it's lacking in any real wide appeal.

Going to see Jeff Beck next month.
