This is my opinion on the subject;

For the purposes of this reunion, THE BAND are "the Faces" the lead vocalist IS NOT. Chris Robinson isn't all that busy this summer. Tour as "Chris Robinson and the Faces" until such time when Roderick decides to show up and then tour as "Rod Stewart and the Faces".

P.S. The less said about the awful decision to tour with Sh%t Hucknall, the better. Their is no way my favorite rock 'n' roll band of all time could contain Sh%t Hucknall as a member?

We could of course get Stone Face with a certain Mr Michael Philip Jagger doing a few numbers of his own and from a former band ,seems he would like to perform but his normal guitarist has some difficulty playing these days,and as his other guitarist doesn't seem to mind who sings so long as he can play his guitar,and he knows a few songs as well.

There won´t be too many occasions left to see any band members
of the Stones (or let alone the Stones as a band) perform.

In 10 years you´ll never see any of them again on stage.

No actually, SOME of us (such as Beast and myself as relatively recent posters on this thread for example) are commenting on past gigs that we HAVE attended, two out of the three that this band has played in actual fact. All we're saying is that you have a chance to see them, we suggest you don't miss it.

fair enough. but i read where others are saying you'll miss a good gig if you don't attend that hasn't been played....no way of knowing that, just like any other act. i'll probably see them if, like mac has told me, he brings them to austin this year. but i can't say whether it will be good or not until after i see/hear it. perhaps you'll be able to tell me in advance, though?

Look, if you are Faces fan I think you are making a mistake for not going to see this incarnation of the band. Of course, if you don't want to go, great. Stay home and lament how good they USED TO BE. I can say that about the Stones as well. Meanwhile, why not go out and have some fun hearing some songs you love played by most of the guys that were there to begin with. It's only rock and roll.

this tour sells very bad in Germany. In Stuttgart they selled about 200 tickets in a place which holds 6000 people....that'S pretty bad. i hope they won't cancel those gigs.

Maybe they need to hire a new publicist. Do the ads mention anything about the Faces featuring members of the Rolling Stones, the Who, and the Sex Pistols?

Interesting. Well, if sales are really as bad as that, then perhaps the prices are too high. What do you think would help ticket sales, something like 30-50 Euros, or 40-60 max ? I've no idea what the German market is like or what the cost of living is. But this country (UK) is rapidly becoming unaffordable to a lot of people, the cost of living here is ridiculously high.

I know, I paid 85€.I bought four tickets but I have a hard time finding the fourth person. Most don't fancy the idea paying 85€ to see the Rodless Faces. I'm just going for Ron. Maybe this is a good signal for the next Stones tour, if there is one.

I will be in Stuttgart, Block B, Row 11, Seat 10.

seriuosly dude, I think you're gonna have a good gig, if last year was anything to go by. If I was one of your mates, I'd be biting your hand off to go. Take a mate with low expectations and I reckon they'll be rocking in the isles by the second song!

Doesn't Germany have a history of charging high ticket prices? Like on the last Stones tour?

Lane and Stewart will always be missed, but what we have here is a very good band, particularly in today's musical environment.

I don't doubt it that I'll have a great time. I'll see them also the week before that.

You can still see most bands for $40-50 U.S. over here. There always seems to be three rungs of tickets, and the lowest one is usually fairly low. I just saw Robert Cray, front row at a 500 seat dinner club outside Washington DC for $39 dollars. And he was smokin. Played for two hours. I had no idea he could sing like that. He just didn't have any large equipment overhead, they just set up and played.

I'd rather they tour with no lead singer!
