me too- i saw her in 1977- front row- was just *gawking* all night- she looked down at this 16 year old and said (kind of snidely) "take a picture it'll last longer" - made me love her even more

I guess we shouldn't think of it as a tragedy, she's still alive and seems to be a very positive person...
But that voice! She was the first girl singer I remember thinking was badass...she had a rock and roll swagger on stage.

She had a rare combination of amazing power, smoothness and sweetness. Liked rock'n'roll Linda better than her other adventures, but she was versatile.

She always was a honey and still is. Fabulous voice. Very nice personality. She was having fun and she did what she wanted to do.

Very sad news.
The medications available today seem to help Michael J. Fox control his symptoms. Hopefully, Linda will also be able to get some relief from this horrible disease.

When it comes to female vocalists, I usually have a preference for soul and R&B ladies, but Ronstadt is utterly terrific. A fine vocalist who's recorded some truly magical performances. Too many to mention, in fact.
