Strange silence after the tour
Posted by: varilla ()

i feel that there´s a strange silence after the tour. No interviews at all, not too much appearances either (apart from Ronnie, but he´s not talking), no declarations...
What is happening? Did they dig the tour or not? are they happy apart from the millions they coolected? Are they satisfied? Will we have a DVD or CD?

They have released the Hyde Park show on I Tunes, lots of remarks on FaceBook and Twitter, comments on Video, Mick Jagger B-day party, interviews on the new App etc. What more to expect.

Yeah, but you'd certainly expect SOMEBODY to leak SOMETHING. I'm beginning to think there won't be any more shows. That last run probably expended the little energy they had left and burned them out physically and mentally.

Not all that strange. Mick was interviewed by Absolute Radio's Pete Mitchell ahead of the Hyde Park shows and said the band would "have a bit of a break" afterwards.

I´m not even talking about something to do with the future, but some good interviews about the tour, how did they enjoyed (or not) themselves, how about the Mick Taylor experience (i would love to read about this).
No inner circle stories, no versions, nothing....

Both Mick and Keith did a fair amount of press over the last few months.

They'll no doubt have more to say when and if they start planning the band's next move.

People are still away for the summer and summer vacations in US and Europe. September would be a good month for the Stones to announce new tour dates. Also the silence might be due to the Rolling Stones not being offered tour deals that meet their money demands.

What is there to say? They performed some fantastic shows. That is their business. And they did a bunch of interviews. Now the tour is over. For a while. Simple as that.

They are not in the business of smalltalking...

They'll talk once they have something ready to release (and/or for more shows).

Personally I'd like to see more releases with outtakes (though they've done a lot of that already)...but especially with unreleased film.

They are simply waiting that Ronnie spends all his money to help him and tour again. Knowing Ronnie it shouldn't be too long; >grinning smiley<

They had all been on tour for the best part of 8 months and most of them are in their late 60's early 70's, they have families, grand kids, stable homes and health issues. I would hope they are having a good long rest and some exotic holidays. I think we sometimes forget that time moves on and they are never going to embark on 24 month world tours anymore. THis last tour was an absolute success, they proved that they are still one hell of a rock n roll band andI for one was amazed at the quality of playing and overall performance. I'm sure we will see them again, but let them have some quality time and a break to re-charge, these guys have spent the best years of their live touring and recording surely no one begrudges them their twilight rest and relaxation before they return.

I guess nobody realizes that the longer things go, the less likely it is that they will ever do any more shows. They went back to their lives, which I doubt consist of doing what they used to do after a tour when they were in their 20's.

I agree with you, but if I work 3 days a month during 12 months, you won't tell that I have worked one during on year. And honestly about quality time, they got it during the 50 past years. Now Keith always said that he was a lazy man, and now at 70, nothing will change. But I agree, we must keep in mind that they are around 70 now.

I agree, there is no excuse to keep your mouth shut for over a month..................
Just give us some personal Rolling Stones reviews what they think of the tour and plannings for the up coming tour....no big deal IMO.

Or should we wait an other 5-7 years.................
