Gee, thanks Sicilian! I know we who are out in the wild wilderness of the west don't have electricity or this whole tv thing. In fact, I'm on my computer via steam-powered generator. But at least let me know what Mick sang!!

The Youtube clip misses the cloak thing in the beginning and is a bit brutaly ended.

Did they preface Mick's performance with any kind of explanation to the crowd- pointing out that there used to be something called "rock stars"?

I only caught a few minutes of some musicians winning an award. Or it could've been some of the show's organizers talking about what a thrill it is to win one. It was never made clear.

Ok, I stand corrected. The crowd loved Sir MJ. Who is not ready for the tour to start?? Full of energy and got the people standing and clapping like no other act tonight. Great performance by band. I was a little skeptical but not now. I'm ready for the toursmiling smiley

Thank you all for posting the YouTube clip. Apparently it was posted as I was posting. Mick sounded pretty good. He continues to defy his age.

Sicilian is just jealous cause he's been shoveling snow all month (or is it 2 months now?). Out here in LA it was 80 degrees and blue sky's yesterday (but we're so used to it that it almost get's boring.... then all the hot babes walk around with not too much on, it's all so hard to handle....)

Mick was a lot better than his material tonight. Kind of a rudimentary song.

Can't find fault in it. He delivered. Nice tribute to The Reverend Solomon Burke. Only thing that could have topped it was the Stones, but no real room for complaints here.

Naw man, no where near trannys.... dumb as f*ckin' rocks (I'll go with that one) but definitely not one tranny in the whole group - good comeback on that one my man ")

I had to shovel some today. But by now it sucks, I'd rather be on a eliptical.

Yeah, I know it is. I did it ONCE - learned fast - for hours and hours and hours when I went up ski-ing in the local mts - 2 hour drive (Big Bear - Bear Mountain), parked the car way too far up the cabin drive way, and woke up the next morning after a complete night of heavy snow, probably non-stop. Snow was about 5 to 6 ft high, what it bitch it was to clear the driveway - exercise indeed, could have built a pyramid in Egypt with the energy I used that day (thank God I was in shape, back in the day - lol) The "Instant Heart Attack" is what would freak me out today.....

You're right, Loudei. His voice is a bit of a worry these days. He's to nasal, sounds as he has a cold. He often starts out well but it's getting worse as the song progresses. But it's nothing new, he has sounded like that for more than a decade now. You have to accept it.

Well, if truth be told his haircut was a bit funky. A bit 1989, a bit Macca.... just a bit off, too short, colored weird. Usually his hair is perfect, hmmmm......
