Kind of a mess. Jagger looks fit, but he's still in that mode from Shine A Light, where he mistakes frantic, kinetic movement for intensity of performance. It is as if proving that he is ageless is the point of his performance...and this has become self-parody.

I haven't seen it yet, but I was guessing this was what it would be like. My hopes for a more natural Jagger will probably never happen.
It is what it was supposed to be. A one song tribute on a nationally broadcast awards show. No time for subtlety. Anyone criticizing that performance can feel free to spend the rest of thier lives watching Justin Bieber and Lady Ga Ga. This ain't 1972 anymore people. I'll take what I can get from Mick these days and that was a very fun and entertaining performance.

I just got official word that Jagger will be singing "If You Need Me" as tribute to Salomon Burke. This is straight from the London office.

Your source sucks. This is straight from the Buffalo office.

HA - The Boston office agrees!

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I disagree totally with that. I watched Mick Jagger's performance and Mick was having fun on stage. Great performance with the audience responding very well. Mick is in shape, he runs ,sings and does what he has always done on stage. Keep on rocking Mick you are the best.

Don't agree at all...what do you want him to be...a stiff. He can still pull off the hand on hip and fingerpointing thing without looking like a parody. The performance was good and the audience loved it. Compare it to Dylan...

Mick still has it! I think he needed to reaffirm that. He still delivers. Good news for those still hoping for a last tour. The song is passed it's glory though, but as I understood it it was a homage to Solomon Burke. His voice isn't getting better, but bring a great load of English Tea on the tour - that will help (a bit at least)!

mick's performance was good because he had a good young band behind him.

No,it was good because he went out there, worked hard, performed hard and gave everything he had ito it. I don't think the crowd was on their feet applauding the band, Even the Stones can pull off that simple song. But jagger's performance was what made it.

I don't believe it, I just saw Ron Wood in a vendors outfit walking up and down the aisles with paintings and bags of popcorn for sale in both hands.

i don't want to get into a debate here, but in case you haven't noticed, rap songs use about 10 times the amount of words than a rock song does. some of the lyrics they write is rather clever and good, not just about shooting guns. and have you ever tried to rap? it's not so easy.

Jennifer Lopez looks embarassed to be next to her husband Mark Anthony. She keeps rolling her eyes and talking over him, the smaller one. That marriage looks doomed. Along with his career.

That Jennifer from the block is still hot. Who was that coloured girl who performed before Jennifer was introduced? Talk about p***y power!

As Soloman said at the LA Licks gig - "The Crown Prince of Rock and Roll". Mick rocked the house like no one else can.
