Singles Collection - The London Years (2002) vs. Singles box sets (2004/2005)

Any noticeable differences ?

Do both have the original singles mixes ?

So far the only difference I've noticed is the 3 box sets released in 2004/2005 have the three original UK EP's and a couple more tracks on 3rd set.

The London Years are just that

Single Releases up to 71 starting with Come On

The Singles Collection is from 71 on w/ B-Sides and dub mixes, etc..

I.M.H.O. I'd go for the singles Boxset! It covers Alot!

The A.D.T.L. Single is like 15 seconds longer w/ a diff. Mix & it rocks!

"Well my heavy throbbers itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down"

No Expectations on the first Singles Collection, 1989? is wonky. You only get one side of the stereo mix as the mono mix, thus Brian's slide is quiet and all muffled.

Did that carry over in to the 2002 version and those seperate box sets?

you are talking about a different singles boxset. the original post is talking about the 3 singles releases by ABKCO covering the stones early years.

Yes, I'm talking about two different collections covering Stones singles in the 60's.

One is the 2002 remastered version of "London Years" , originally released in 1989 and the other one was released in 2004 / 2005 in three parts with every single split on the same number of CD's.

I have the original 3-CD set released in 1989 and would like to upgrade to a more accurate collection.

Apparently the 2004/2005 box set has the original Street Fighting Man US single mix.

Buy the Singles Box sets. Especially the first one is a treat. It includes the 3 original UK EP's. On the 2002 Singles Collection, the wrong edit of Tell Me is used, while it's correct on the box set. Street Fighting Man is the original 45 version, but it's like that on both the 2002 collection and the box.

The version with alternate vocals? That wasn't on the 1989 Singles Collection box set.

Thanks! Finally I think I'll go with the 2002 remasters of London Years as it can be found brand new for 10 euros... And I already have the 2010 digital reissues of the UK EP's.
