Great band, but more a project than a band in their later years.

Syd Straw is a very classy frontwoman. Her 3 solo albums are amazing: "Surprise", "Pink Velour", "War and Peace".

Had that first album, with a good cover of Omaha by Moby Grape. And I love this song by Syd Straw:

Nice cover by Syd of one of the few Bruce Springsteen songs I really like.

The Palominos have had several other female songwriters and vocalists, and all of them brought something really interesting to the project. Amanda Kramer's work on this album is stellar.

That was their second album, VISIONS OF EXCESS:

This was their debut:

Surprised no one has mentioned that Mick Taylor and Chuck Leavell played on A DEAD HORSE.

I was aware of that, but the credits don't mention specific tracks. Great album, though. I like how Robert Kidney's and Amanda Kramer's songs alternate, like a conversation. It's almost a concept album, tracing the arc of a (failed) relationship. This is Kidney's last track on the record. Is that Mick T. coming in at 3:34? Could be. I really don't know.

Beautiful, fan-made video for "The Haunting," off of 1991's Drunk With Passion album. This was the second and last album with Amanda Kramer, who I believe is now a member of the Psychedelic Furs?

in 1986 Jack Bruce played a tour with The Golden Palominos I have some poor quality video of them at Montreux (around 30 mins ?? I'd need to check to be sure)

is there a decent copy of that Montreux 1986 show or even a SBD or radio broadcast in Flac ?

...... hope someone has it >grinning smiley<

The John Lydon version of The Animal Speaks, as good as anything Public Image Ltd. did after Flowers of Romance...
