The only guest thus far to truly effect the Stones playing..

in my opinion, was Grohl. I was there for it so maybe I'm biased - but in all the clips - while some are quite nice (though i wish they'd bag the idea and go to MT) i don't think anyone gave them the kick in the ass that Grohl did - it was electrifying.

maybe because Grohl was so great with Jagger on SNL...

All the guest stars are partly superfluous, partly ridiculous, partly awkward. The only plus is Mick Taylor being no guest at all ...

Can't stand the guy. His guitar playing is on par with a two year old. Stick with the drums Grohl and get rid of the flannel shirt. This isn't 1994 anymore.

Who cares who influenced the Stones' playing? They're lucky to be on stage with the Stones. If the guest walks off somewhat influenced, they should consider themselves really fortunate.

I was skeptical but Paisley was great, adding a lot of life to Dead Flowers. No complaints at all.

God if it were Taylor Swift, that would be a bummer.

"Who cares who influenced the Stones' playing? " uhm - obviously I do - just an opinion - no need to discount it -

Ahh, regardless of what people say about how great they sound (which is true), there's nothing like the kick of some young blood... And that contrast really stands out with Grohl. The song choice also helps a lot.

I totally agree that he pushed the stones to a level like no other guest. and more than that, he showed that time also didn't wait for the Stones. Not just because he's younger (the American Idol girl is even younger), but because he added a shoot of adrenalin that really made a difference.
