well it is kinda strange he would say something like that after having EVERY opportunity to do the reunion last year. He decided to allow it to go on without him and let them use some no-name dude (at least outside of UK) in his place.

Anyway, Jeff Beck would not agree to it.

I totally agree. He had the chance to do this last year, but claimed to be sick. What a twat this guy is! It's never going to happen...but if it did, it would in fact be awesome!

Sounds like a fun idea.. Jeff Beck may do it but I doubt Ron would be comfortable playing bass these days. He's made it clear in the past it's not something he's comfortable doing any longer..

I last saw Rod at Hyde Park a couple years ago. I thought that it was barely passable. Rod's voice was shot and that band of his, with their black ties and Las Vegas arrangements, was awful. The saving grace was provided by Ronnie, who joined him on stage for the usual Stay with Me and Maggie Mae. You could see Rod's eyes actually light up, and he seemed engaged for once.

Perhaps he has improved.

Rod HAS to get back with Ronnie. Its Ronnies only chance to show his skills and Its Rod's only chance to keep up his place in Rock'n Roll history.

Rod's playing a free show tonight at The Troubadour. Maybe Ronnie will join him for a number or two.

Apparently Ronnie wasn't able to get out of his prior commitments.
