that's a tough one. I live the scuzzy studio version but the Ya-Ya's version is downright evil sounding (that is a complement). Even the No Security version is pretty good, though it brings nothing new to the table, musically. I think it is a tie for me.

The Ya-Ya's one. I've read somewhere that Jonis Joplin was there for some of the 69' concerts (I think you can see her during Satisfaction in the DVD) and that when Mick sang the line "Don't you want to live with me?" she screamed "You don't have the balls!" or something like that.

Best official version; Get Yer Ya Yas Out. There are other terrific versions from 1969-1970-1971 as well
When it comes to the Brixton version, released on CD single, yes it's a very good renedition, and some great guitars. But I gotta say that I really miss Bill Wyman's touch when listening to that "Live With Me" version.....it doesn't roll like it's supposed to because of that change of bass, IMO

Maybe not the best, but certainly the most amazing concert version of 'Live With Me' is on the famed boot 'Liv'R Than You'll Ever Be'. Somehow Keith got one beat behind the rest of the band coming out of the first chorus, and continued to play the trademark line - a beat behind - for nearly an entire verse. I figure it was either the drugs, or Keef experimenting with avant garde jazz (maybe both).
By the way, that particular version is fast, energetic, and Mick sings the hell out of it.
