An amazing bootleg streaming site, including dozens of Stones shows!
Posted by: Mongoose ()
Date: December 31, 2012 17:40

Many of you may already know about this, but for older folks like me who need their college age son to keep them up with current internet trends, this is something very cool.

Check out this site, which has bootleg streaming of, well, just about ANYTHING for your listening pleasure.

Hundreds of Stones concerts, shows by Buddy Guy....you name it!

Probably should have posted this on the "Hot Stuff" page, but I figured that more people would be able to check it out here.

Happy New Year, fellow IORR'ers!

One thing I forgot to mention.....

Once you pull this site up, you're going to spend about six hours there!

Cheers......

Is there any way to actually download this rather than streaming it??

Nope, it is streaming only. Still, the list is incredible!

I have spent the morning just finding things and smiling....

In addition to Stones shows, I have found a lot of other concerts that I attended, including:

Bonnaroo 2011 - Buffalo Springfield, Robert Plant/Band of Joy, Grace Potter, Warren Haynes, Widespread Panic, the Black Keys, and many more

Elton John (1995, Atlanta)

Santana (1978, Boston)

Ray Davies (2006, Atlanta)

Gov't Mule (2012, Atlanta)

Mickey Hart Band, Furthur, Ratdog shows.....

Paul Simon (2011, Duluth)

Roger Waters (2010, Atlanta)

I didn't live in Atlanta in 1965 (and I was only ten years old, anyway!), but the Beatles bootleg is surprisingly good quality.

You CAN download, but the shows are in one big WMA file.

Here are the R bands:

Right click on the 'download' of your choice..........then click on ...'Save target as'......to a folder of your making on your HD.
As redsock says it's one big (or small actually - usually about 20-25MB for an hours music) WMA file but you can divide it up into indivdual tracks with 'Helium audio splitter' available as a free download here.........[download.cnet.com] ...(others are no doubt available)....use the output option to convert to MP3 before clicking on the 'Split' button. It won't convert to Flac or Wave unfortunately.......(well I couldn't get it to anyway)

Yep, I've been on it for most of the day today! Once you start to scroll through it, you find yourself clicking on so many different shows!

My very first concert was the Associaton (Along Comes Mary, Windy, Never My Love, Cherish, etc.), at Virginia Tech, in January 1970. There is an Association concert just several weeks after that show with pretty much the same list of tunes.

Ditto for Alice Cooper, and Jethro Tull shows in 1972.

You can just about name anyone and they are on that sight somewhere.

You could use the "Streaming/Exporting (Transcoding) Wizard" from the VLC - Player.

This Wizard is largely self-explanatory.

I tried it for myself - it worked.

Wow, thank you! This has one of the best Keith interviews of all time which I have been hunting for for over 10yrs. It's Up Close in 1988 and he talks about Talk is Cheap but also tons of Stones history....love the description of rock vs. roll...so true, so Keith!

I stumbled upon this site a few years ago. It nearly cost me my marriage. It's absolutely engrossing. Beware. You can spend many days and nights looking for stuff. Happy hunting and don't say I didn't warn ya.

Anyone got any idea how to split the downloads up into individual songs?

I use this free software to edit large wma files, takes a bit of time to do it properly though. It works using WAV and you can't save it as MP3 but you can upgrade or use some other file converter. [www.pcfreetime.com] this one is free and will convert almost anything.

It's a cool site!! But if you download, you are getting mp3 (MPEG), not lossless.

I don't understand how this works. My computer is tries (unsuccessfully) to dowload a file every time I click on one of the shows. It doesn't seem to stream. Not sure why I can't get any of it to work.
