Most of the artists I've seen this year would fall into that category. Hasnt really dampened my enjoyment much, if at all.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see as many shows as I would have liked to, but Roger Waters' The Wall concert was truly brilliant. I'm looking forward to Tributasaurus as The Rolling Stones, featuring Bobby Keys, at Martyrs in Chicago, on New Years Eve. Then, on New Years Day, it's Chuck Berry at the Congress Theater.

I am a huge Macca fan, and went to see him at Salt Lake City and was lucky to see his set list. That is one of the best concert I have ever seen. Then last night I was lucky enough to be at The Fillmore, and see the Black Crowes do No Expectations. Then when ending their night the last tune they did was Midnight Rambler!!!! The first time they have every done it. Then to make matters more crazy they come out and their first encore is Torn and Frayed...then CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCK'IN, then aptly, The Last Time. A truely epic concert at the Fillmore.

I'd love to hear this show. Hopefully some of it will turn up on YouTube. I bet the Crowes did better live versions of "Torn and Frayed" and "CYHMK" than the Stones.

Where's you see James Burton?

Antwerp, Belgium - at the 'Bourla'.
With a Dutch backing band called Muffkin Tass... despite their efforts: a R'n'R pooper of maximum order. But James, as always, was a real treat.

Hello,

Hmmm...couldn't honestly name a favourite or best concert as all of them have given me something special.

Having said that, honourable mentions go to Macca @ Hampden, Iggy & Stooges @ H'smith and Edwyn Collins @ The Deaf Institute.
But I'd still stick by comment no.1 as it seems unfair to discriminate!

I hope that 2011 brings us a few crackers too.

Cheers,

Si.

Faces at the O2 Bubble.

I'd have to go with that too, it was staggeringly wonderful. I was buzzing off that and goodwood a couple of days for so long afterwards that I couldn't really re-engage with real life for I'd say at least a week to ten days, simply couldn't concentrate on anything !!

Some great concerts mentioned in this thread, so I can't resist making up a short list of some of those I attended, in order of greatness.

1 Faces at the O2 Bubble
2 Ronnie Spector at the Jazz Cafe
3 Paul McCartney at the Hammersmith Apollo
4 Faces at Goodwood
5 Steve Miller at the Albert Hall
6 Stephen Dale Petit at the 100 Club
7 Ronnie Wood at the Ambassadors Theatre

1. Peter Wolf in Buffalo (small show, 400 seats, alternately intimate and rocking. Totally surprised me how good he still was)

2. The Flaming Lips - Artpark in Lewiston NY. I knew 2 songs going in, and came out a fan

3. Procol Harum - Finger Lake PAC. Only Gary Brooker left from the original lineup, but they really played well and got the crowd into it, even though they were the opening act.

4. The Alarm - Another band with just one original member, but they rock way harder then the original.

5. Arcade Fire - Toronto Island.
