The Problem with "Stickies" ...

I stopped checking the sticky threads for the latest information... simply because I think that some of the sticky threads been there a long time and that they might have old, stale information.

No one still thinks that they're playing in Brooklyn in November do they? But that's still the title of one of the sticky threads.

I agree, schillid. As you aptly point out, the subject lines get stale. While I think they're good to have when there's a lot of initial buzz around a topic, they should have an expiration date. And if you haven't been following them religiously, they get far too deep to jump into. smoking smiley

I'd recommend pressing the "last post" button, and not start reading from page 1 everytime you make a visit

But please just avoid the last page of the Doom and Gloom stickie thread, as it's just a tennis match between me and another poster.

I find the Doom and Gloom stickie depressing.

That is helpful, thank you.

I don't like having to check to see if the date and time show that it's older information on a particular topic... The most current info should be on top, imo.

how about making the "new" inidication at the end of a thread title a working link, so it takes you to the first message you have not yet read?
