These deluxe boxes frequently include a book and an audio cd. It's not a feature-length film but who knows what outtakes might exist?
I've seen several old black and white films over the years on Blu-ray and they do look better then the DVD version. High Defenition can improve the looks of an old b & w movie quite a bit.

Are there any details about what else the dvd contains? My understanding of it is that it's not that long a film, so this 'deluxe' box business appears dubious.

blu-ray is the ONLY way to go if this has lossless sound which it should.Quote

Great flick...I've seen the abused blurry internet version played on a big screen cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it.

incidentally, a little search shows that if you don't want to shell out $50+ for the superdeluxe set, the DVD can be had for $16 and Blu Ray for $18

I have seen this. Great doc. You can get it on DVD if you search around but obviously this will trump those versions in quality and hopefully bonus features.
