Musicians who are contemporaries of the Rolling Stones tend to be the ones who are most admired by fans of the Rolling Stones. Unfortunately, they are going to be passing away in ever-greater numbers in the coming years. Nothing wrong with a brief reminiscence.

The Deaths, Births and Marriages section is the first page I read each day in our newspaper people naturally like to know these things.

I doubt there will be too many births reported here .... unless one of the Beatles has another son.

Yes.

And in almshouses the resident patients are talking mostly about death, illness etc. and are dreaming about the long gone "better days" ...,
like fans do here more and more on IORR ...

If the main item of this board isn't able to play one single note for years, not even at their fiftieth anniversary ...

ROLLING STONES LYRICS

CRY TO ME

Recorded May 12 & 13, 1965. Released on Out Of Our Heads in 1965.
Vocals: Mick Jagger Guitars: Keith Richards and Brian Jones Drums: Charlie Watts Bass: Bill Wyman Piano & Organ: Ian Stewart

CRY TO ME
(Russell)

When your baby leaves you all alone
And nobody call you on the phone
Doncha feel like crying
Doncha feel like crying like crying like crying
C'mon baby, cry to me

When you're all alone in your lonely room
And there's nothing but the smell of her perfume
Doncha feel like crying
Doncha feel like crying like crying like crying
C'mon baby, (c'mon) cry to me

Nothing could be sadder than a glass of wine alone
Loneliness loneliness, it just a waste of your time
But you don't ever you don't ever have to walk alone
You see, so c'mon take my hand
C'mon walk with me

When you're waiting for a voice to come
In the night there is no one
Doncha feel like crying
Doncha feel like crying like crying like crying
C'mon baby, cry to me

C'mon baby, that's right cry to me
Yes, I want you to come on baby
C'mon c'mon cry to me
I want you to c'mon baby
C'mon c'mon and cry to me
Yeah c'mon baby c'mon I want you to cry cry cry to me
Yeah I want you to cry cry cry cry cry cry cry
I want you to cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry...

There are often new discoveries about their past and also, The Rolling Stones story isn't over yet.

There was a case of this Geezer who faked his own death he put it in the newspaper in the Deaths section but got caught out a few days later when he rang up the newspaper to say he wasn't going to pay the bill because they spelled his name wrong and no one turned up at his funeral.

let's see if with a new album or a new tour O.T. or R.I.P. threads will be as many as now

Most Ots are interesting, and as someone here wrote before, if the Stones cannot play a note it is natural that there are more and more OTs. Let us wait and see, but the permanent threads "will the Stones go on tour soon" are more annoying than OTs. Bob Dylan's new album is not even OT.

That might be the first look.

And now the question is: Will this cat ever be "comma-tose" by every look at it ... ?

ROLLING STONES LYRICS

LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN

Recorded in June of 2005. Released on the album A Bigger Bang on September 5, 2005
Lead Vocals, Guitar: Mick Jagger Electric Guitars: Keith Richards & Ron Wood Drums: Charlie Watts Bassgrinning smileyarryl Jones Percussion: Larry Castro

LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

I know that you like to go out drinking
And you love to have a good time
You came in when I was drinking coffee
Having breakfast on a bad night

I won't interrogate you and I never will berate you about your lyfestyle
But where you've been
Lost weekend

What's that look on your face
It must have been the walk of shame
Your eyes are all red, get ready for bed
Your hair's all over the place

And look what the cat dragged in
Don't you call me a friend
Get out of my house with your dirty old mouth
Take yourself out again

Look what the cat dragged in
Yeah, you take it right out again
Yeah, look what the cat dragged in
Yeah, take it right out again

Looking at the Sunday papers up with all the latest, it was so quiet
Checking what was going on in Syria and Lebanon
A bad fright, bad fright

I'm going to criticize you and I hate to ostracize you
What a bad night
Where you've been
Lost weekend

You look like your totally spaced
Your breath's got a horrible taste
You look like a leper, dressed as Sergeant Pepper
Are you going to throw up all over my face

Look what the cat dragged in
Take it right out again
Get out of my house with your dirty old mouth
Take it right out again

Look what the cat dragged in
Yeah, never do that my friend
Yeah, look what the cat dragged in
Look what the cat, look what the cat, look what the cat dragged in
