I vote to bring the best indoor stage ever built, back for arena tours in 2011-2012.That is, if they come back again which I believe they will. Seeing an arena decorated in lights and banners with all of the indoor festivities with the lotus stage was magical on the TOTA tour in 1975.

I don't think they'll have a poll to decide the stage design, but it sure was pretty.

Besides, I think Keith would have a bit of trouble climbing those leaves when they're partially open, and you know what could happen there!

Keith's fit and looking well. About 10 years younger than when the ABB ended. He's keen to play, record and tour.

If you like circus-like shows this is the perfect stage. If you come for the music then the 69 - 73 halls and stages are by far the best. But I don't see this band play that tightly together like they did in those years. So what remains is a circus act, and then you need the most spectacular stage possible. So bring in the trapeze, the elephants, the tightrope, the knife thrower.

I absolutely love this stage !But if the band was ever again ready to "record,play and tour "-I'd prefer to see them playing on a very simple stage.

The best stage for an indoor stadium is a center-stage (rotating or not). It gives the best view for most of the public. Why not use that tongue-shaped stage they used a the Super Bowl some years ago?

While I love the lotus stage, it seems that it wasn't designed to take full advantage of its layout. The amps bisecting the stage, facing one direction, essentially make the back half of the stage wasted space. I know Jagger took a couple laps back behind, but not many (if the LA 7/11 show vid is representative of the whole tour in that regard). And nobody else spent any time at all back there, unless Billy Preston took a stroll perhaps. This stage always struck me as one that should've been a center-of-the-arena in-the-round type of stage. Just minimize or reposition the amp banks in the middle and open it up fully, and play to every petal.

Keith Moon bought the stage (or a part of it) after the '75 tour and build it up in his garden. I remember seeing a pic of it in some magazine.

I know what you're trying to say, but it wouldn't have have worked back then, being in the round. No wireless guitars,so the guitar players have no mobility (or not much). Charlie can't move. The amps can't move. Back then, concerts in the round were not that enjoyable, for me then and now, unless it was Sinatra or a dance troupe or a play.

Also, the amps only cut it in half (from a visual) if you were seated on the floor. But if you were above the floor, you could see the full effect.

I hate to use that worn-out cliche, but you really had to see it. It was just incredible to look at (I'm talking about the opening-closing lotus). It was pure theater and yet it was pure R&R at the same time. It is show business after all.

It was of its time. Too bad we don't have a better visual document of it than the crappy L.A. Forum show (video quality wise, not the concert).

The first bit is Washington DC, but the second looks like Madison Square Garden.
