I have a feeling the tour will kick off at Glastonbury Festival...after all Michael Eavis has already announced that he has booked the 3 biggest acts in the world...we already know one of them is U2 so the Stones has to be one of the other two...Glkastonbury takes place the last weekend in June!
Kick off with their first appearance in four years in front of an audience of 130,000 and tens of millions watching live on TV?
Not a prayer. No way are they going to expose themselves at the start of a tour like that.
There's no chance a record will be finished and released as early as June. Even if they started recording it tomorrow. And they wont tour unless there's a new 'product' of some description. It'll be August/September in North America, with no official announcement until the spring. As usual.

And? What do we get then? Another stadium Best of tour with a glitzy Las Vegas show and two guitar players who are embarrassing to watch and to listen to for ridiculous ticket prices. Ehm...no, thank you!

You probably have a point Gazza, but for a while I was enjoying the slim possibility of them doing it and since I have a ticket it was a magical day dream....you've pissed on me chips now and brought me crashing back to reality!

In Paris, on November 8th (a week ago today) at around 6 PM in the Hotel Le Meurice, in the Grand Castiglione room, Keith was asked this question:
-Will there be a tour next year?
He did his "British MP-parody" and said: -Unfortunately I'm not in a posission to deny or confirm this for the time being. Ha, ha, ha.
(Everyone laughed - it was a funny parody!)
Then he continued:
I'm hoping, and I have a strong feeling, that we will do something next year. A tour. And I also want to cut something. New material. Yeah, that would be nice!
I NEVER heard him confirming anything in Paris, but he left absolutely no doubt about his own hopes. He's eager as h**l to record new material, and he's longing for the road again. When Keith says he really wants to tour, Charlie's probably going to support that. And we all know Ronnie's ready for the road. (Yes I know the Faces could have some gigs lined up, but Ronnie's made it clear that his first priority is the Stones, his main band for 35 years, and a good source of income.)
I guess it's up to Mick now, and the financial situation globally next year.
