Heads-up: THE BEST 1976 recording is now in circulation

Heads-up....!

The BEST sounding 1976 show (apart from the 2nd half of June 7th 1976 - which is *perfect sounding* ) is now in circulation. It's the Paris June 6th show...!

Falo has made a matrix of the SBD recording and the NEW (torrented last month) audience recording. Captain Acid has remastered it

A DVD, with this new matrix used as audio, will be uploaded soon (at Hungercity)
So much more "life" to this matrix, compared to the dull sounding existing SBD source

Brown Sugar sample; courtesy of Falo

(audio features a matrix of the AUD recording, and a DIFFERENT SBD source than the bootleg CDs for this song....notice that the awful Billy Preston playing is not a part of this SBD mix)

I'm not speaking of performance, but soundquality

You haven't even heard this new version of June 6th, by the way

Thank you.

I wonder which contribution was made by Ollie Brown.

I do not doubt that he was an excellent percussionist but I do not get it.

This is the LYL-version of Brown Sugar, but merged with the audience sound and the overdubs omitted.

Not as well versed in bootleg lore as all of you guys; a question -

What would be the BEST 1976 boot? I've heard people say Mickboy's London/Frankfurt one is wonderful.

I've never heard Lyon, Berlin, Vienna..etc.

Any recommendations very welcome indeed, I love the '76 tour! (the ultra decadent look, the Black & Blue songs fitting in nicely into the set)

Mickboy's remasters sucks
All London concerts sucks.

My favourites (apart from Knebworth) is Paris June 7th, and now June 6th (because of quality) and Cologne 2nd (1st show) and Munster (2nd show) (because of performance)

Many thanks for that Erik,

Do you know off hand the bootleg-names of those Cologne(1st show) and Munster(2nd show) discs?

Besides Mickboy's London, is the Frankfurt show good anyway?

Yes. But the bootlegs are not the best source

Best source for the Cologne show is a VINYL bootleg from the 70s, but it runs TOO SLOW.
Therefor; you'll have to get the speed corrected torrent.

Best source for Munster has been released by some crappy LP-bootleger; but there's no point in getting that one; get the original torrent instead.

I just can't believe it
It's been years and years that I put this version of Paris show when I had rockpassion site. Some people traded for this one many times.
It's nothing new to me.

Wow. I always assumed the solo on BS from LYL was dubbed. It comes in so much louder that it seemed like it had to have been added. I'm impressed with Ronnie.

... er ... many of us have also had the 6/6/76 show for ages.
the point is the highly improved audio quality.

my videos source is from TMOQ version and the audio from another video source from which I extracted the audio.

Lyon 's bootlegs sound aweful.
The only reason I got them is because I was there.

It al depends on what you means by "best"... best sound or best performance?
They did play some GREAT shows in 1976 mainly during the German segment of the tour but these still exist only in the form of audience/amateur recordings.

if you want LYL-like sound quality Paris and Lyon are the best compromises.

The not-from-boot version of the SB tape that circulates on torrent sites is even better. And the show itself is imo better than Paris.

This matrix of the "hardly circulated audience source" and the SBD recording was made by a guy in Germany this month. So there's NO WAY you had this version.
You were the guy with the now dead Rockpassion site? Wasn't that the site which sold CDR copies for 10 dollars or something? Or was it MP3 downloads - which you charged money for? Something like that anyway. Good riddance. Your post here is as full of crap as your money-grabbing site was.

Oh but I'm not "posting", misterfrias, I'm just giving a "heads-up". You have to grab the DVD or the audio via torrent-sites

Thank you Eric. Big fan of the '76 tour; and just recently got revitalized via JeanMarie's new book. Your post is really good news.
