Say what you will about the lyrics (I'll echo Elmo by saying I could do without the GD, Ha!) but in all seriousness it is a BEAUTIFUL song. The melodies are gorgeous. From a technical/engineer/songwriting perspective, I love the MIX of the song, and more importantly, the playing... Light, pretty, airy guitars playing well chosen notes, but the track ROCKS.
It is an anomaly within the Stones catalog and there has never been a live version that captured the studio vibe. They 'tiptoe' around the studio, but when this track gets pulled out at a show it gets the Satisfaction treatment.
I would love to hear them re-work a brand new live version of it for the upcoming tour.
