3 of the biggest stones riffs were not even written by Keith. BS - Mick Jagger came up with riff on Holiday, HTW - you can thank Ry Coder and then you can thank Mick Taylor for throwing it aganist the wall and making it a ROCKER according to Keith, and JJF you can thank Bill and Brian. Brian and MT pushed Keith and made him a better player. Just proves the sum of the parts equals the whole.
play that guitar boy.

Fair enough, but i find posts like "ronnie is a mediocre songwriter" and ”feel-good music". in fact, there are some very sad and beautiful songs on this album, as sell as a great variety of music. And very few of ronnie's faces-songs are mediocre. Yeah, i bet rod stewart thought woody was mediocre when he wrote and recorded every instrument on maggie may, his first number 1 hit...
...and I LOVE his work with Rod Stewart and with Faces, so we can agree on that, ok? It's what happened later as a member of the Stones that I have problems with. I personally think joining the Stones was not a good thing for Ronnie, artistically, but I don't want to belabor that point yet again.
You should know that I have all the Rod albums with Woody, and saw the Faces live multiple times. You want to talk "great"? Maggie May is a "great" record. Nothing like that on his new one.

This has to be one of the longest MT vs Woody threads in IORR history.
