You don't have to be famous to have a wikipedia entry. You just have to have a friend who thinks you should have one. I know lots of people who have them. They're not that famous. They think they're famous.

For most of my life I worked as both a journalist and photographer with regional papers in the London area so I would get backstage and photo passes. I started out in 76 so was able to catch the key punk era.
Muddy I got to meet at the Capitol Radio Jazz and Blues Festival which ran for 2 days at Alexandra Palace in north London. Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, BB King, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie...lots of legends. And I was walking around backstage and Muddy was getting out of his limo. I wandered over and asked if I could take his photo and he was really gracious, proffering his hand to shake and calling me sir. Unbelievable. We chatted for about a minute and then he was led to his dressing room. I never asked him about the Stones...wish I'd done so now.
Keith I met at Borders for the book singing in London last year. Charlie and Ian Stewart I met at Dingwalls at Charlie's 1st ever solo gig in 78, I believe. Ronnie I met at an aftershow party for The Who at Hammersmith Odeon Dec 75. At that party were Eric Clapton, Ringo and of course The Who. I got them all to sign a paper plate...and lost it on the way home. All 4 members of The Who, Ronnie, EC and Ringo. What an idiot.
