Notes

In December 1970 Crosby, Garcia, Leash and Hart played together as a group. Garcia later spoke about this group in an interview;

We had a little band called David and the Dorks. He was the star, and it was his trip that we were doing. It was right around the time he was in the Bay Area a lot ... we did maybe two or three shows ... they weren't announced or anything; we just went in there on a Monday night and had a lot of fun, and the sound was cool. In fact, that was the core of the band that played on David's album."

Anyone who hasn't heard the 5.1 mix of this that came out a few years ago is in for a real treat. One of the best surround sound albums I've ever heard.

BTW - those with Sherlock Holmes detective skills can track down the complete sessions on the internet. There's loads more really great stuff with members of the Dead, Airplane, etc

Also check out "The Wall Song" from Graham Nash/David Crosby (1972). It's from the same PERRO sessions and features Garcia, Lesh, and Kreutzmann.

The Byrds 1967 version of Triad, which remained unreleased until 1990.

Here's another one that remained unreleased for nearly 25 years because the Byrds didn't think it was very good.

He appears on five tracks altogether. Almost Cut My Hair, Helpless, Woodstock, Country Girl, and Everybody I Love You.
