You need to call and get another code for presale:

FRIENDS must use their Showclix presale code provided by the FRIENDS OFFICE. 212 930 0653.--I just did and it is two codes that you must use.

i have been trying to call the friends office but keep getting voicemail.

are the codes that are needed tomorrow the ones that were sent out in the original friends email you get when you join?

or is there a unique code for this specific presale.

Keep trying. I just got through. You will be given two seperate codes and both are required to get pre-sale tix at the discounted price.

So basically it seems: if I don't hear from them before noon EST Wednesday then I'm focked because I'm on the West Coast and the Friends Office did not return my call or email today -- and therefore I don't have the codes! Damnit.

Like marchbaby and a few others I've been on this with a fine-tooth comb (mixed metaphor, I know -= been on it like white on rice or something), and it would suck after that effort to miss out. ah well

On Friday, October 29th at 7 pm, in the Celeste Bartos Forum, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, the New York Public Library presents Keith Richards in conversation with Anthony DeCurtis.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Thursday, October 21st at 12noon.
FRIENDS presale on Wednesday, October 20th at 12noon. Friends must use their Showclix presale code provided by the FRIENDS Office. 212.930.0653. The presale code will be sent to Friends of the Library from the FRIENDS Office in an e-mail that follows shortly.

There is a two ticket purchase limit per patron, through Showclix, for this program.
Each ticket purchased through Showclix for this program includes a copy of Life by Keith Richards that will be provided to the patron upon admission to the program the evening of the event.
Print outs of tickets will not be accepted. All patrons are to check in at will-call at the NYPL for tickets.
Ticketholders must provide ID that matches the name on the ticket at will-call to be admitted the evening of the event to be admitted.
There will be no standby line for this event.
There will be no live streaming of this event.
In conversation with Anthony DeCurtis, a music journalist, and contributing editor for Rolling Stone, Keith Richards will discuss the storied journey of the Rolling Stones, as well as his passion for books and for history. He will chronicle how he created the revolutionary, high-octane riffs that defined "Jumping Jack Flash," "Gimme Shelter" and "Honky Tonk Woman," his affair with the equally infamous Anita Pallenberg (the mother of three of his children), and the tragic death of Brian Jones. He will also discuss the personal values that have made him a proud, successful father, and a happily married man for more than twenty-five years. Anthony DeCurtis has written frequently about both Keith Richards and The Rolling Stones in the course of his thirty-year career as a music journalist, most notably for Rolling Stone, where he is a contributing editor.

Still on hold but the server came back up for a second, I got my code in, selected 2 tickets, then the server crashed again as that was processing....

And now "SOLD OUT".

Damn it.

I got in a few times selected tickets - entered my email/name etc and it crashed each time.

This is bullshit! Plus i've been on their phone queue since 11:55 too.

Did anybody manage to get tickets? Or were we all f*cked over by the server?

I'm still on hold - I basically just want to see if there will be anything left to go onsale tomorrow - but I'm not really expecting that to be the case.

Juan - I just got through via phone. Tickets will be going on sale tomorrow to the general public.

at least you guys were smart enough to figure out where to put your code! i got the opportunity at 12:03 several times but since it didn't say what to do with the window, i put in "2" for number of tickets! got the "invalid" error msg.

another friend just kept hitting submit without putting anything in the window.

the window said on sale wednesday....not clear that what you were supposed to do with it - duh!! i figured it out by 12:13 when i got the window again and found it was sold out...

i guess it's good to know that if i had been smart enough to figure it out, the server would've just crashed anyway...

so no one got tix?
