Sorry guys !
I needed to use a subterfuge-gambit? - to be sure I'll get some answers ...
More seriously,I really love this number .
Is Taylor a bit out of tune at the beginning ?

Well, the guitar is not out of tune (which string is then?). He is just playing the wrong notes. He's more a bluesguitarist who's trying to do some fushion. He tried to do that on these first I'm Free's on the 1969 tour. Without much success.

My china Roger looks at him and says, 'You @#$%& weren't there at Hyde Park in 69! I was! thats when I pointed out it was Mick Taylor and he was actually on stage playing at the gig! Ha the drugs do work apprarently

Great clip, many thanks for sharing.
Yes, out of tune and hitting a few bad notes as well - but who cares? He still shows a fair bit of the melodic distinction that helped lead to such great Stones songs as CYHMK, to name just one.
The man has clearly had some stumbles along the path of life - but really, who hasn't? I love that he's still up there fighting and persevering.
Far too easy to bash, why not enoy the unique talent that lead to one of the Stones most creative and enjoyable eras? I love each and every period of the band, but really do miss the spark that Mr. Taylor's playing added to the mix.

I don't believe you're a mentalist, but I do believe in mentalism. My brother and sister are both succesfull shrinks. That explains my behaviour on this board.

Of course I am not;you know I was teasing you.Or I would be a very mediocre/paltry one :-)
The proof is that I didn't want to believe Kleermaker was Dutch
But honestly-sorry to go out of topic right now - mentalism ,ima, has more things to do -or should have- with clairvoyance, analysis & photographic memory rather than mediumship.
I never went to see a shrinks myself, but I sometimes have serious doubts about their claivoyance.
