No wonder you and I seem to agree musically more than some of the others. I read some of the posts in this thread and wonder how the posters can like the Stones. Not that one can't enjoy various styles of music..

As if you can bottle the Stones in one style...I wonder if YOU like 'em.

Well, to me there is no coherence in some selections. Like if picked from a book. But of course each to his own.

BUT, - personally I just find it a bit strange when people are fans of a band like the Rolling Stones and name some progrock/ Jazzrock drummers as their favourite drummers.
No affront! But it's kinda contradictory to me . .

CousinC, you do realize how wide a spectrum this thing we called "music" is, right?

I was just checking out A7X on Youtube the other day after reading the piece on Synyster Gates in the new issue of Guitar World. He was an outstanding drummer.

RIP, Rev.

Steve Gorman is rarely mentioned but he has the "je ne sais quoi" that makes great musicians.

Yes he was the man! By the way, the new record is awesome! I just got it yesterday and man..it's heavy, melodic, everything a good hard rock album should be. I highly recommend it!
