Mach I - The release of 'Satisfaction" until "Satanic Majesties"

Mach II- Beggar's thru/ Exile...Riding on fumes till S.G.

(Even though Keef said "Black and Blue" was hopefully the beginning of Mach III)

Mach III- Some Girls thru/ Undercover

Mach IV- Steel Wheels - Voodoo

Mach VI- The final one until something great happens i.e. tour, strong album.
But Beginning with Bridges and going thru/ with great DVD packages etc.

How do you Mach it?

... the way Keith uses the terms Mach II, Mach III, etc, they refer to changes in the line-up

Gazza that sounds like the lyric to a Bryan Adams song

Gazza no didn't mean that at all....perhaps they didn't exist for a lot of people till they were well known for satisfaction... but before satisfaction their blues period i like to think of it as something different and special

They existed for a sufficient number of people for them to have had seven top 10 singles, including four number 1's plus two chart-topping albums prior to'Satisfaction'.

Plus their first self-composed number 1 was 'The Last Time'.

Bit odd to totally airbrush the significance of the formative years of the band's career when it takes in a sizeable chunk of the era for which they're most defined by, musically and culturally.

For 'a lot of people', the Stones are defined primarily by one decade above all others. The 60's.

Not airbrushing over it Gazza.... For me I think it's their most exciting period!

I just didn't include it because I feel that is a whole other topic.. that deserves more attention
