i was watching with the michael jackson hype on the anniversary of his death - THE GREATEST SELLING ARTIST OF ALL TIME!!!!-THE GREATEST PERFORMER EVER!!!!!-

meanwhile back here on earth-michael jackson has sold 69.5 million in the u.s. bringing him to #11 all time.i've seen up to 750 million reported worldwide-REALLY??the rest of you must be buying alot of records.

in a world owned by madonna,springsteen,U2 and of course the rolling stones michael jackson doesnt have a tour ranked IN THE TOP 15.

makes me wonder how much fact checking the media does on important things...

THE ROLLING STONES-our heroes have sold 66 million records in the states-#14 all time and a far cry from the leaders -the beatles with a grand total of 176 million records.

this is the fun part for me.when the little moptop fans get all warm and fuzzy and start screaming "yay,we're the greatest"

UM,YEAH...WANNA COMPARE BOX OFFICE?... working musicions do 2 things- perform and record.now, i saw let it be and i didnt actually count the people standing on the roof but here we go-

the rolling stones own the records for 3 of the top 6 largest tours of all time.

A BIGGER BANG-@ #1-$558,255,524 followed by maddona,U2s vertigo and the police reunion tour.

BRIDGES TO BABYLON #5- 339,000,000 followed by VOODOO LOUNGE #6 with 320,000,000

despite speculation to the contrary U2s 360 tour is no where near the top. @311 mill it has a way to go before it even becomes THEIR top grossing tour.with somewhere near $1.5 billion in live gate and multi-millions in record sales
the stones are probably the biggest act ever in music.
