How about most of the Dirty Work album. I love the Stones but over 47 years of music there are quite a few songs that don't do it for me.

As always, when this comes up, "Rock and A Hard Place"

Horrible, forced mega-rock song...But I would say "almost anything on Dirty Work".

Agreed. Listening to "Rock and A Hard Place" feels like listening to a Coca-Cola commercial jingle.

I'm just waiting for someone to mention Brown Sugar, Sympathy For The Devil and Midnight Rambler to make the list complete.

Definitely "You Got Me Rocking" without hesitation - the music, lyrics, and especially the damn chorus make it easily one of the worst songs I've heard by any band, not just the Stones. I absolutely loathe it.

I don't listen to Dirty Work often, but last time I heard it I can't say anything from it was as downright offensive as You Got Me Rocking.

You could fill at least a three-CD box set with Stones songs I really don't like. And, yes, this is probably my fave band ever. Some of the real howlers include:

Sweet Neocon
Streets of Love
the four new ones on 40 Licks
Anybody Seen My Baby (worst first single ever)
Already Over Me
Always Suffering
Sweethearts Together
Suck on the Jugular
Baby Break It Down
Rock and a Hard Place
Blinded by Love
Winning Ugly
Back to Zero
Indian Girl
Emotional Rescue
Cherry Oh Baby
Can You Hear the Music?

Now this is an idea!

Agree on every single one except for Emotional Rescue, and would like to add some less obvious choices (but horrendous songs nevertheless):

Ruby Tuesday
Dear Doctor
Luxury
If You Really Want to Be My Friend
Short & Curlies
Lies
Wanna Hold You
Fight
Sad Sad Sad
Mixed Emotions
Terrifying
All of VL besídes the songs already mentioned (if we wanted to be nitpicky, maybe we could discuss about Thru And Thru, though)
All of ABB besides the songs already mentioned (if we wanted to be nitpicky, maybe we could discuss about It Won't Take Long, Dangerous Beauty, and Sweet Neocon, though)-

so how about a 4 CD box???

Sweet neocon. Not because I don't agree with its message, but because it really sucks.

Wow, there are some great songs in your list. I especially love Ruby Tuesday, Dear Doctor, Luxury , & Lies. It's funny that you like Emotional Rescue, my least favorite Stones tune. To each their own! If everyone had the same taste, the world would be a boring place.

I'd forgotten about Sweethearts Together and Might As Well Get Juiced, Jesus, what were they thinking?

Always loved Emotional Rescue though, and as for Indian Girl, yougottabekiddinme!

FANTASTIC IDEA!!!!!

a 3 Cd set of the worst songs, called

"ALWAYS SUFFERING: The Worst of the Rolling Stones"

performed LIVE (& recorded) at a free show would be better, i'm guessing they could probably
make a few of these sound better LIVE....at least different.

Sweet NEo Con song tops the list for me......for multiple reasons. It's simply lame
in every respect.

IORR............but I like it!

yay! a vote for thru & thru! unfortunately, it's canceled out by a vote for Juiced. so, throw out the best vote and the worst vote and you've still got a very solid list....nice job, skippy.

Just curious - why do you guys dislike It's Only Rock'N'Roll & Angie?

Not questioning your right to dislike them, just wondering why. At first I thought it might be from hearing them too much, but JJF & Satisfaction and many other Stones' tunes get more airplay.

from experience i've found that the easiest way to not listen to nearly every song on an album is to not listen to the album at all. a little tip from a pro....

Indeed...Nearly means I used to listen to those 2 when they were released. Now..Only She was Hot comes to my mind as a top tune. Loved it during ABB

if most or half of the album is unlistenable, i wind up just leaving it alone. i can't be bothered to pick up the remote to hit the skip button multiple times once i've gone to all the trouble to get the disc out, pop it in the player, push the play button and return to my listening location. it's just too much to ask to "work" anymore after all that- i deserve my 40+ minutes of uninterrupted listening pleasure at this point.

Why do people hate Gomper so much? If you want the real stinker from that album, it's "See What Happens".

no 1 by a mile... losing my touch , .....indeed! he must have been in a dark, dark place.

can't believe angie was mentioned , the intro is worth the money itself!!

great thing to criticise your fav band . no need to be blinkered. and it makes the truly great songs even better.

there are songs i don't hate but tired of . brown sugar i didn't listen to for nearly a decade but when i heard the live versions from the 72 and 73 tours i fell in love with it once again.

Sparks Will Fly (a KR song) was the moment I started to wonder about our band.

Re: A "Rolling stones" song ,you really dont like

Ha ha. Yeah, I left a couple out - You Got Me Rocking and Sparks Will Fly plus a few earlier ones. For some reason those don't bother as me as much as the ones I listed though.

StonesTod, Might As Well Get Juiced could have been done by a 7 year old. To think that the Dust Brothers told Mick there was nothing he needed to change...they were right - it was awful enough as a demo.

Why do I dislike IORR and Angie? Because IORR is just a pedestrian boring yawning no balls boring song and Angie is just 1973 Streets Of Love SCHLOCK.

"Emotional Rescue", "Miss You" and the "Their Satanic Majesties" stuff, disco shit and psychedelic garbage do not fit to the Stones, I think.

which 7 year old?

juiced is one of their greatest tunes of the last 25 years - granted, that's not exactly high praise, necessarily. a song that could have easily fit on exile (production values notwithstanding, of course). pure bloozeful bliss......

i love that stuff a whole lot better than anything on a bigger bang, bridges to babylon, or dirty work.
