Hey Honestman, many many thanks for the scan !

I am going to watch tonight "Stones in Exile " ( toi aussi je suppose )but I am already upset because it seems there are no subtitles .....as always in our French TV.>grinning smiley<

Comme à l'accoutumé ,ils vont traduire par dessus les voix ....rendant le tout inaudible ...that's too bad !winking smiley

Just like the Germans do. Both countries have too big an ego as for their mondially unimportant languages, or a too small one.

Télécharge sur Hot STUFF la version diffusée par la BBC

ainsi tu pourras comparer
les deux. Je te garanti qu'entendre TARLE parler en anglais, c'est Fun !

Yes these voices over the original ones spoiled the documentary, except maybe if Dominique TARLE speak in french tonight, it couldn't be worst that his english voice in the original BBC Broadcast >grinning smiley< but nobody's perfect, his shots are in our minds forever, don't care about his english talkin'it should be for sure fun after all for the english IORRANS...and my english is not that goodwinking smiley

Just watched it. One hour of real Stones music and...nostalgia. Great. And Nelcote is such a beautiful Manor.

Mieux que prévu , c'était quand même regardable !
Une grosse fote aussi dans les sous-titres Jimmy READ (lol)
J'ai bien aimé aussi l'avertissement au début attention à l'usage des drogues...

Better than I expected, one big mistake on the subtitles Jimmy REED written READ
and at the very beginning of the documentary a big warning on Drugs Use...

The formal aspects of the docu are a shame : the editing is REALLY annoying, nearly no shot lasts more than 1 second. Plus you're constantly bombarded with CGI-made white lightnings and zooming-in focusing-in effetcs (that are supposed to emulate the CSBlues look and the misuse of a 16mm camera).
All this crap is even on 2010 images and photos (!?). WTF?

Take that in the face for 60 minutes and you won't feel good (at times I had to turn away from the TV).

On the plus side you get to "see" plenty of new Tarlé pix!

I'd rate it 6/10 overall...

The first 30 mns are very boring .Nothing new....footage from CS Blues .

Afterwards, here comes the real Stones: 1969/1972.

The best thing is some TARLE shots I've never seen.

Take a look here, I've edited some screen caps from the BBC release

There was no need for the Scorcese 's and Crow 's comments .....

Merci et bravo pour l'idée mas es-tu sûr que les caps sont au bon ratio image? Elles me semblent un peu étirées vers le haut...

There's a great video on DAILYMOTION.COM with Dominique Tarle going through his great photos - and it's all in French too!

It's called
Les Rolling Stones à la Villa Nellcôte
08:55 min. long

or just do a search for Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street, it's about third in the listings

Cheers
