My Fav Brian Jones pic ever!

My favorite guitar player is Mick Taylor. But I don't feel like discussing about Mick Taylor vs Ronnie Wood. So, let's honour Brian Jones with beautiful pics:

I've never seen any pic outtakes from that Jumping Jack Flash video session. Are there anymore. They looked at their coolest and most satanic at that time. Do you know who took the pic?

Great pictures...He was the coolest cat around in his day...Still looks cool today..But sad to think he's is gone.
Such a loss...At his height he had the best of Taylor and Wood all in one..He could play anything and he looked and
acted like a star...

Hi Green Lady and thanks for the credits, but you're wrong, my scans came from the Rolling STONES Monthly Books, not from Rolling Stone Magazine, but hell that's RSM for both,

Brian died before I was born - when I got into the Stones heavy as a teen he was just kind of a ghost to me. Are there any good interviews with him around?

oops - credits corrected. Seems obvious when I save them, but it also took me a while to remember that my abbreviation "SIPbook" meant the Stones In The Park book...

Nice to see you're still about.

He didn't seem to talk to the press much. The only filmed interview I've ever seen with him (that wasn't at a press conference with the rest of the group) was in the 1966 documentary 'Charlie is my Darling'. Its a pretty rare film, but you can find it through some of the bootleg dealers. There may be some clips from it on youtube, it wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks to everyone who has posted such wonderful pictures.

At the height of his powers Brian was a musical genius who seemed able to play any instrument to a very high standard. His musicianship gave the Stones a cutting-edge virtuosity that they have not reached since.

Well said, Scooby!

He wasn't a master of the guitar, but he did add some good sounds to some songs on the Stones records! His final days weren't pretty, but let's not forget what he GAVE to the Stones and to us fans.

What in the name of God is going on with his pants in this one? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be sexy, it's actually pretty funny. Hog Day Afternoon.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

In the first post of pics did anyone notice Brian's hand was bandaged?

Looking at him kinda looks like the time frame of where he hit Anita but ended up hurting himself, can anyone confirm this?

Secondly, looking at these pics of Brian made me think we should have more Brian threads, for history's sake alone!

We run the Taylor/Woody/Exile threads to the ground and back again.

It would be refreshing to get back to the "roots" so to speak

Great pics from everybody

That's the reason why I started this thread, Marshall. I'm a big Mick Taylor fan, but I'm tired of the whole discussion about Exile/Ronnie Wood etc etc etc.

So, indeed... let's give Brian some more attention... ;-)
