Hey Hairball, I normally dig your erudite posts, but for a guy who has mentioned (numerous times) that you don't care for Scarlet, you sure do seem to be on this thread posting a lot.
Just let it go man. Listen to any other of the Stones' beautiful hits and get happy.

Is it really? I didn't interpret it that way. I'm not a big Dylan fan but there is always some kind of meaning or message in his songs or videos. Sir Michael is more of a businessman.
He is following a trendy 2020 drama series here. Trying to capitalize on that in order to reach a younger, preferably female, audience. Or maybe I'm just a cynic...

Agree, only heard it once before (I intentionally didn't want to tire of it, i.e. waiting for the GHS release to hear it altogether) but since the video was posted I just listened 2 more times. It is now stuck in my head ... which is a good thing!
Video is fine w/ me, why not appeal to a younger audience? I've never really been a video guy anyway and am still surprised how many people care about them.
Oh, and "why you wearing my heart ... on your sleeve" is 100% a modern day Jagger lyric. I know most know this already but just pointing it out in case some still have a doubt.
BTW, best Stones video ever? ... She Was Hot!

My ONLY criticism of the Paul Mescal video for Scarlet is that he didn't strip down to show us some more of...him....he's a hottie.

Compliments and praises to every new boring Dylan's album (and others)...and negativity to every new Stones track!
They just grow old and conservative ....
Ya can see 'em fade before your eyes ...

I love the song but the video is kinda stupid and very boring

I do prefer this War on Drugs remix to the version that was originally released. Although its more obvious here the new Jagger vocals- I think the ad-lib stuff in the outtro sounds like modern-day Jagger and not 74 Jagger

I don't think there was no "74 Jagger" on this track at all.

The new videos are aimed at perpetrating the sex, drugs&r&R in the 21century. Mick Jagger or the advisors at UMG probably wanted sexy& wild images to back up the sexy&wild music from 74.

yes maybe and if that is the case they completely succeed with the criss cross video which is genuinely wild and free both in form and imagery while the scarlet one lacks any edge, nothing wild in it unless you consider wild jumping more than three steps in a ladder, and the actor looks off most of the time by the way. boring, imo.
