Could it be that the reason Mick doesn't remember anything (but Jimmy does) is that he actually weren't there...

Ok, "October 1974" it is, so Mick's mention of the GHS sessions is off - by almost two years (as GHS was recorded in 1972). But hey, it's a GHS reissue after all, so maybe he deliberately took some artistic liberties for marketing purposes...

I have given it a few runs by now, and it is a funny thing to listen. I think it has a lot of Ronnie's first solo album feel in it. Probably it is the studio and the drugs... The logic of its structure escapes me still a bit (related to the latter thing). Some interesting choices there in terms of verses, chorus, etc. Some would might think that it is under-developed or something. But who knows.
But the world is always a bit better place when a new Stones song is released.
