One July Night in Chicago - Keys, Sumlin, Tremulis
Date: June 3, 2010 16:55
Anyone anywhere close to Chicago who reads IORR should mark July 3rd as the night to go to Fitzgerlds in Berwyn. This will be the third night of the annual American Music Fest and the line-up for this night is really something, featuring three acts that have connections to the Stones.
Bobby Keys will be playing with the great Joe Ely Band. (Let's hope for a David Grissom appearance, too!)
Hubert Sumlin, a Howlin' Wolf veteran, will be playing with the Nighthawks. You might remember Keith played on Sumlin's album a few years ago.
Nick Tremulis, a local Chicago favorite, is a friend of Blondie Chaplin and the two of them play with Keith on the disc Keith did with his sister-in-law Marsha Hansen.
See you there!
