This souds to a very interesting thread for me as I am fond of the American accent.
I first thought that Mick was the one who had lost the first his English accent ...not Keith .So I am glad to read your comments.
For instance ,I can hardly understand Charlie which sounds so british to mty "French ears "

Yeah, with Jagger you can really hear the whole "bunch of guys" thing. he jumps into radically different accents in a split second.

.
One final point: how many Americans actually use the term 'cat' anymore?

Mick has intermittently, faked a cockney accent, for years.

Yeah... What's wrong with one saying to another "How are you?" instead of "What's up Dawg?" Of course, both greetings mean the same thing... and maybe at the gym its ok - however if I'm in a restaurant ..I wouldn't want anyone approaching me and saying "What's up Dog!?" And I'm starting hear more of this unusual talk more and more. Are they now teaching slang in college?

This will make you smile but do you now the first English sentenses my 10 old years daughter learnt at school ?
"What's your name " , and when I politely told the teacher (I came a couple of times in the classroom for help neded ) that may be he should tell the children that the 'smeans is ,from the verb "to be" he just shrugged.....
I can tell you that some teenagers here in France don't only say " Ca va ? Quoi de neuf ? " (translation for " How are you doin' ? Whattsssap ? " )
It is very very bad...worse as you even can't imagine ....I would be ashamed to translate it ....
