I prefer Wilson Pickett's over this and definitely over the Beatles.

Great cover! Love the other pictures from that last photo session. Taken at John's place, and film of it is at the end of The Anthology...the last film taken of the boys together.
I like Wilson Pickett's version, but for me nothing beats The Beatles version! Stunning song... I always loved the part in Up and Down With the Rolling Stones where he decribes Macca playing that at a Stones release party for Beggars, and how jealous Mick was... Great Apple single with Revolution on the B-side.

Good song. Too bad the lyrics are gibberish. Then again, Stairway To Heaven's lyrics are gibberish, too.

Marianne Faithfull also refers to that moment in the Complete Beatles video documentary.
